To make a darkish grey, use extra black than white. The ratio of black to white will depend upon how darkish you need the grey to be. For a really darkish grey, use a ratio of three:1 black to white. For a medium grey, use a ratio of two:1 black to white. And for a light-weight grey, use a ratio of 1:1 black to white.
